CPG Connect // Final Edition
Thank You, and What’s Next
This is a pretty crazy newsletter to be writing.
Today marks the final edition of Cpgconnect.
Before anything else, I want to start with a simple message.
Thank you.
To everyone who has followed along, shared ideas, sent tips, come to events, hyped up posts, or just reached out with encouragement along the way. It truly means more than you know.
The CPG community is one of a kind.
Some of the smartest, most generous operators in the world are building in this space, and it has been an absolute privilege to highlight the brands, founders, and ideas shaping it.
When I started CPG Connect, the goal was simple:
Create a place where the ecosystem could stay informed, discover great brands, and connect with each other.
What I didn’t expect was how quickly this community would grow and how many incredible people would become part of it.
Which brings me to the big announcement.
CPG Connect Has Been Acquired by 1800DTC
I’m incredibly excited to share that Cpgconnect has been acquired by 1800DTC.
For many of you already in the DTC world, you know 1800DTC as the go-to resource for operators building modern commerce brands. It’s a platform dedicated to helping founders, ecommerce leaders, and growth teams discover the tools, strategies, and partners shaping the future of the ecosystem.
This next chapter allows me to go all in on what we’ve been building.
Instead of running Cpgconnect on the side, I’ll now be focused full time on expanding the content, community, and ecosystem through 1800DTC.
And the reality is, this move makes a lot of sense.
Because the line between CPG and DTC continues to blur.
Many of the brands we’ve covered here are:
• Launching online before retail
• Using ecommerce to drive retail velocity
• Building communities around their products
• Blending physical and digital growth strategies
The future of CPG and the future of DTC are increasingly connected.
That’s exactly what we plan to lean into.
What Happens Next
Not much actually changes.
You’ll still see the same types of content:
• Brand breakdowns
• Industry trends
• Operator insights
• Ecosystem updates
• Community events
The difference is that it will now live under the 1800DTC umbrella, alongside a broader ecosystem of founders, operators, and partners across commerce.
If you primarily operate in retail and don’t have a direct to consumer arm, don’t worry. We will still be covering plenty of CPG specific topics and brands.
Our goal is to continue bridging the gap between CPG and DTC, because increasingly the best brands understand both worlds.
Your Subscription
Nothing you need to do.
The Cpgconnect subscriber list will be migrated into the 1800DTC newsletter, so you will continue receiving content automatically.
One More Thing
This community will continue to exist.
We will still be hosting events.
We will still be highlighting great brands.
We will still be connecting operators across the ecosystem.
The only real change is the name at the top.
And I am incredibly excited about what we’re going to build next.
If you’re not already following along, make sure to check out:
I also shared a short announcement video today on Instagram if you want to see the story behind the move.
One Last Thank You
To everyone who has been part of Cpgconnect from day one.
Thank you for reading.
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for believing in what we were building.
This community has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve had the opportunity to create.
And the best part is we’re just getting started.
See you inside 1800DTC.
